Sorry for the long hiatus. I've been meaning to post lately but it seems like something happens and then I completely forget about my blog. I can happily say however that the blog is now over a year old! (Although I only have 1 follower.)
So, what have I been doing lately that causes me to forget about posting? Quite a bit, or at least for me. From an amazing turn of events, I'm now volunteering at a Christian thrift store which is actually quite a bit of fun. The only part I don't like is if a spider is discovered in the back room and then disappears. When that happens, I just do some calming exercises and pray to God that the spider will not crawl up my leg as I sort through boxes. Ugh.
I also just recently came back from traveling. Although the trip was short; it was well worth it and I'm glad to have spent some time with family again. My brother worked with the family business while we were there and he hopes to go work there again. Maybe now he will know what career he should focus on.
And last, but definitely not least, we are to be getting a foreign exchange student from Germany. Cool right? We are all very ecstatic and are making preparation for the new addition. He will be staying almost a year, attending a school in the area and going with us wherever we go. He loves pretty much everything, and I do mean EVERYTHING. Some of the things he likes kind of shocked me but I don't mind. I can tell he's going to be a cool kid and we all will have a great time.
Do you all remember my last post about my cat? If any of you were worried/sorry for him (which I hope you were) he is doing a lot better and has gained an extra pound. He's back to his normal stinky self. Yay.
